Where I Wish I Was

I’ve done a few posts about What I Wish I Wore , but today I’m feeling more of the I wish I were anywhere else but here feeling…

It’s Thursday. I’m tired. I woke up late. I’ll be going to school full time this summer.

I just want to be in Fiji.

In a hammock.

Is that too much to ask?

This looks just about perfect………..

I Like: Sleeveless Button Ups

My fall/winter wardrobe consists mainly of button up, collared shirts that I pair with sweaters, cardigans, jeans, skirts…….. really just about anything.

I am a big fan of button up shirts and how they can take any outfit and make it seem instantly more pulled together. So with that obsession, it only makes sense that I would jump right on the upcoming spring/summer trend of sleeveless button ups!!

The best part about this trend is that you can DIY them easily with an old shirt! I’m working on removing the sleeves on my Missoni for Target shirt and I can already tell it’s going to be one of my favorites.

An End to the Usual

I hate to admit that it has been quite a while since my last post….almost 3 months! I’ve been trying to figure out what could be causing my lack of blog inspiration and I think I’ve figured it out. I think I have just been bored with my usual routine.

I love constant movement and change (obviously, since I’ve transferred schools 3 times in the past 2 years), and lately I’ve felt kind of stuck in a routine, lacking a lot of inspiration. I’ve hit a creative valley, but I think I’m on my way back up. I’ve got ideas again and I’m ready to put them into action.

Here are some previews of some things to come…..

Collision

I am always happy when my two favorite things collide: art and fashion.

Serena Mitnik-Miller is a talented artist/designer/creator from San Francisco, California who frequently uses watercolor to create geometric-based work that utilizes harmonious color combinations and lots of layering to create her pieces. She has recently collaborated with Quiksilver to produce a line that is a unique take on casual basics. Each of the pieces could easily be integrated in to anyone’s current wardrobe, no matter what your style.
